AC Not Cooling — Same Parts as Carrier

Payne is built on the Carrier platform — same factory, same engineering, same parts. The most common Payne AC failure is the run capacitor, typically 35/5 or 40/5 MFD 440V. Furnace Ignition Failure

Payne furnaces (PG9M, PG8M, PG95 series) share ignition components with Carrier. The hot surface igniter is the most frequent failure — cracks from thermal cycling after 3-5 years.
