Trane and American Standard furnaces share the same integrated furnace control (IFC) board with a diagnostic LED. Common codes: 2 flashes = system lockout (recycle power to reset), 3 flashes = pressure switch error (check drain trap and vent), 5 flashes = flame sensed without gas valve call (dangerous — shut off gas immediately), 9 flashes = reversed line/neutral polarity.
