Find the exact OEM control board for your furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump. We carry integrated furnace control (IFC) boards, defrost control boards, ignition control modules, fan timer board...
The control board is the brain of your furnace or air handler, managing the ignition sequence, blower speeds, safety circuits, and diagnostic codes. When a control board fails, the system may not start, may lock out with error codes, or may run erratically. Control boards are model-specific components that must match your equipment exactly for proper operation.
Furnace control boards manage the entire heating cycle: inducer motor startup, igniter activation, gas valve opening, flame verification, and blower operation. Modern boards include LED diagnostic codes that flash error sequences when a fault is detected. Common board part numbers include HK61EA002 and HK61EA006 for Carrier and Bryant furnaces, and CEPL130590-01 for ICP, Heil, and Tempstar units.
Fan blower control boards manage blower motor speeds for heating, cooling, and continuous fan modes. They receive signals from the furnace control board and thermostat to select the correct speed tap. ECM blower motor modules combine the motor controller and speed logic into a single replaceable unit. When a blower control board fails, the blower may run at the wrong speed, not start, or run continuously.
Heat pump systems use defrost control boards to monitor outdoor coil temperature and initiate defrost cycles when ice builds up on the condenser. A failed defrost board can cause the heat pump to ice over completely, reducing efficiency and potentially damaging the compressor. Defrost boards are typically mounted in the outdoor unit near the reversing valve.
Control boards are highly model-specific. Unlike capacitors or contactors where universal replacements work, control boards must match the exact OEM part number for your equipment. The board layout, connector pinouts, timing sequences, and safety interlocks are unique to each equipment family. Always verify the part number on your existing board before ordering.
Common symptoms include the furnace not starting or locking out, LED diagnostic codes flashing continuously, erratic blower operation, the system not responding to thermostat calls, burn marks or discoloration on the board, or a burning smell from the furnace compartment. Check for blown fuses on the board before replacing the entire unit.
