This is the factory OEM draft-proving pressure switch for the Carrier PY3GNAA60115AA packaged gas unit. The pressure switch monitors negative pressure created by the inducer blower motor to confirm adequate venting before the ignition sequence begins. When this switch fails or its set-point drifts, the control board locks out the furnace prior to ignition — you'll see the inducer run for a few seconds followed by a hard lockout with no spark and no heat. This OEM switch is rated at 0.18" Water Column (WC) and is a direct, factory-specified replacement. Note: OEM part number HK06WC061 has been superseded by Carrier part number HK06MB061; both are fulfilled as the same current OEM component.
