OEM Carrier High Pressure Switch HK02ZA395 for Model PH2PEB036000AA
This OEM high pressure switch (part number HK02ZA395) is the factory-specified refrigerant-side safety device for the Carrier PH2PEB036000AA heat pump system. Its job is to monitor refrigerant high-side pressure and open the safety circuit if pressure exceeds the factory cutout threshold — protecting the compressor from catastrophic damage. A failed or stuck-open switch will trigger a system lockout, prevent cooling or heating operation, and may display a fault code on your thermostat or control board. The companion low-side pressure switch HK02ZB044 is also available and commonly replaced at the same service call.

OEM vs Generic: OEM Carrier pressure switches are calibrated to exact PSI thresholds at the factory. Generic aftermarket switches frequently carry ±10–15% PSI variance, risking nuisance trips or — worse — under-protection of the compressor. For a refrigerant-side safety device, OEM is always the recommended choice.
-
Install difficulty: 3/5 — Refrigerant-side pressure switches require system recovery or careful isolation before replacement. Tools needed: refrigerant manifold gauges, 1/4" and 5/16" flare wrenches, multimeter for continuity verification. EPA 608 certification required if refrigerant is handled. Always de-energize the unit at the disconnect before beginning.

Warranty: 1-year OEM factory warranty. Ships same business day from our warehouse.
