The integrated furnace control (IFC) board is the brain of your Carrier PG96 90%+ gas furnace. It governs the entire heating sequence — energizing the inducer motor, proving the pressure switch, firing the hot surface igniter, opening the gas valve, confirming flame, and finally bringing on the blower — while continuously watching the safety circuit. When this board fails, the symptoms are hard to miss: the furnace won't respond to the thermostat, it short-cycles on and off, the blower runs nonstop or never starts, or the diagnostic LED flashes a fault and locks out. A board with a degraded flame-sense circuit will often light, run a few seconds, then drop out on 'flame loss.' This OEM board carries the correct onboard relays for the inducer, heat blower, cool blower, and humidifier/EAC accessory terminals, a self-diagnostic LED, and the dip-switch and jumper settings that set blower-off delay and cooling airflow.
