The gas valve is the metering and safety heart of your Carrier PG95ESAA42060BAA furnace, opening on each heat call to feed the burners the precise amount of gas the control board demands. When it fails, the furnace produces no heat even though the inducer spins up and the igniter glows: the burners simply never light, the board locks out after three attempts, and you may hear repeated solenoid clicking.
