Overview

This OEM PTAC thermostat assembly is the temperature-control package for the Tempstar THB07K25STA packaged terminal air conditioner. It includes the genuine PTAC thermostat (OEM 1058517) and the matching control knob (OEM 1058437). The thermostat senses room temperature and cycles the compressor, fan, and electric heat to hold your setpoint. When it fails, the unit may run continuously, never reach the set temperature, short-cycle, or stop responding to the knob entirely. These are factory-spec replacement parts built to match the original fit, calibration, and 24V control circuit of your unit.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power at the breaker and verify zero voltage at the unit with a multimeter.
2. Access — Remove the PTAC front grille and control-area service panel.
3. Document — Photograph all thermostat wiring before disconnecting.
4. Remove — Pull the old knob, release the thermostat from its bracket, and disconnect the 24V leads.
5. Install — Mount the new thermostat, reconnect leads per your photo, and press on the new knob.
6. Test — Restore power, set a call for cooling and heating, and confirm the unit responds to the knob.
