This OEM thermostat kit for the Tempstar TEB09R34DCA packaged terminal unit includes the PTAC thermostat (part 1058517), the low-temperature thermostat (part 1059022), and the matching control knob (part 1058437). The PTAC thermostat cycles the heat and cool stages to hold the room setpoint, while the low-temp thermostat provides freeze/low-temperature protection by limiting operation when air temperatures drop too far. The knob is the user control that sets the target temperature. A failure anywhere in this group causes short-cycling, runaway operation, nuisance low-temp lockouts, or loss of accurate adjustment.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power at the unit and breaker, then verify zero voltage with a multimeter.
2. Access — Pull the control knob and remove the front grille and control-panel cover.
3. Document — Photograph the wiring for both the thermostat and the low-temp stat before disconnecting.
4. Remove — Disconnect the leads and unclip the old thermostat and low-temp stat from their brackets.
5. Install — Mount the new 1058517 thermostat and 1059022 low-temp stat, reconnect per your photos, and press on the new 1058437 knob.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm normal heat/cool cycling and proper low-temp protection.
