Overview

This OEM PTAC thermostat kit replaces the temperature control and selector knob on your Tempstar TEB09R25SPA packaged terminal air conditioner. It includes the thermostat control (part 1058517) and the matching selector knob (part 1058437). The thermostat reads room temperature and cycles the compressor and heat circuit to hold your setpoint, while the knob is the user interface that sets that target. A failed thermostat causes short-cycling, runaway runtime, or a unit that never hits temperature; a cracked or stripped knob leaves the unit impossible to adjust.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power and verify zero voltage at the control with a multimeter.
2. Access — Pull the front grille and remove the control-panel service panel.
3. Document — Photograph every wire on the old thermostat before disconnecting.
4. Remove — Pull the knob, then transfer the spade leads off the failed thermostat one at a time.
5. Install — Mount the new thermostat, reconnect each wire per your photo, and press on the new knob.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm the unit cycles on and off at the dialed setpoint.
