This OEM PTAC thermostat assembly is the temperature-control brain for the Tempstar TEB09K34DCA packaged terminal air conditioner. The kit covers the low-temperature thermostat module (OEM 1059022), the PTAC thermostat body (OEM 1058517), and the field-replaceable control knob (OEM 1058437). The thermostat senses room temperature and cycles the compressor and fan contactor to maintain setpoint, while the low-temp variant adds freeze-protection cut-in for cold-climate installations. Installation Guide
- Safety First – Disconnect power at the unit disconnect and verify zero voltage with a multimeter before touching any wiring.
- Access – Remove the front grille and service panel to expose the control box.
- Document – Photograph all thermostat wire terminations and routing before disconnecting.
- Remove – Pull the control knob, release the thermostat mounting clip/screws, and disconnect the capillary sensor and wire leads from the old thermostat.
- Install – Mount the new thermostat, route the sensor bulb to its original clip, reconnect leads per your photo, and press on the new knob.
- Test – Restore power, set a cooling/heating call, and verify the compressor and fan respond and cycle at setpoint.
