Overview

This OEM pressure switch set protects your Tempstar TSH542HKA100 heat pump by monitoring refrigerant pressure on both sides of the system. The high-pressure switch (part 1184656) trips to shut down the compressor when discharge pressure spikes — typically from a dirty condenser coil, restricted airflow, or overcharge. The low-pressure switch (part 1184655) guards against loss of charge, a failed metering device, or low ambient conditions. A failed switch causes short-cycling, no-starts, or hard lockouts. Replacing both as a set restores complete refrigerant-side safety protection.
