This OEM pressure switch set covers both the high-pressure switch (part #1184656) and low-pressure switch (part #1184655) for the Tempstar TSH560GKA200 heat pump. These 24V safety switches monitor refrigerant pressure and open the control circuit to shut the compressor down before a dangerous over-pressure or loss-of-charge condition can cause damage. The HI switch protects against blocked condenser airflow, overcharge, or a failed outdoor fan; the LO switch protects against undercharge, a leak, or a frozen indoor coil. When a switch fails or sticks, the unit may short-cycle, lock out on a safety fault, or refuse to start the compressor at all.
