Overview

This is the genuine OEM 40VA control transformer (OEM 1056899) for the Tempstar TEB07K25RTA packaged terminal unit, supplied with its companion 24V control relays (OEM 1053004 SPST and 1060940 DPST). The transformer steps line voltage of 208/240V down to the 24V the control circuit needs to power the thermostat and relays. When a transformer fails, the entire low-voltage system goes dead — no thermostat response, no relay pull-in, and no cooling or heating call. A blown transformer is often caused by a shorted control wire or a stuck relay coil, so replacing the relays alongside it protects the new transformer.
