Overview

This OEM 24V control transformer supplies the low-voltage power for the Tempstar TXH530GKA100 heat pump, energizing the reversing-valve coil (parts 1172574 and 1175621), the contactor, and the rest of the 24V control circuit. The transformer steps line voltage down to a stable 24 volts so the defrost board, thermostat, and switching relays operate reliably. A weak or failed transformer leaves the control circuit dead — the contactor won't pull in, the reversing valve won't shift, and the system simply won't respond to a call for heating or cooling.

Installation Guide
