This genuine Heil OEM ignitor bracket (Part #80184) is the sectional-style mounting bracket that holds the hot surface igniter in correct alignment with the burner on Heil HEMI furnaces. The bracket sets the igniter's gap and position so it glows directly in the gas stream for reliable light-off. Over many heating cycles the thin steel bracket can crack, sag, or corrode, letting the igniter drift away from the burner port. The result is delayed ignition, a 'whoomp' on light-off, repeated ignition retries, or hard lockout.
