Every LG ductless mini-split and multi-split error code. LG uses CH (check) and CL (clean) prefixed codes on the indoor unit display.
CH01
Indoor Room Sensor Error
Room temperature sensor has failed or is disconnected.
DIY check: Power cycle. Sensor replacement if persistent.
CH02
Indoor Pipe Sensor Error
Indoor coil pipe temperature sensor fault.
DIY check: Power cycle. Thermistor replacement needed.
CH05
Communication Error (Indoor/Outdoor)
Indoor and outdoor units cannot communicate. Wiring issue or board fault.
DIY check: Check communication wiring between units. Power cycle both.
CH06
Outdoor DC Sensor Error
Outdoor unit DC current sensor has failed.
DIY check: Requires technician. Outdoor board or sensor replacement.
CH07
Outdoor Compressor Sensor Error
Compressor discharge temperature sensor fault.
DIY check: Call technician. May indicate refrigerant issue.
CH10
Indoor Blower Motor Error
The indoor fan motor is not running or at incorrect speed.
DIY check: Clean the blower wheel. Check for obstructions. Power cycle.
CH21
Outdoor DC Peak Error
Excessive DC current detected. Compressor or inverter board issue.
DIY check: Requires technician. Do not attempt to repair inverter boards.
CH22
Outdoor CT Sensor Error
Current transformer sensor on outdoor board has failed.
DIY check: Requires technician.
CH26
Outdoor Compressor Overload
Compressor is overloaded or locked rotor condition.
DIY check: Clean outdoor coil. Ensure adequate airflow. Technician needed if persistent.
CH38
Outdoor Coil Sensor Error
Outdoor coil temperature sensor has failed.
DIY check: Power cycle. Sensor replacement at outdoor unit.
CH44
Outdoor Air Sensor Error
Outdoor ambient temperature sensor fault.
DIY check: Check sensor wiring. Replacement if persistent.
CL
Filter Clean Reminder
Not an error. The unit is reminding you to clean the air filter. Appears after a set number of operating hours.
DIY check: Clean the filter, then press and hold the filter reset button for 3 seconds to clear the reminder.
FL
Full Water / Drain Pan
The drain pan is full or the drain pump has failed.
DIY check: Clear the condensate drain line. Empty and clean the drain pan.
