The Goodman 0130F00504 Pressure Switch is the OEM draft-proving switch for VCES800603AXAA gas furnaces, rated at -0.60" water column, normally open, with an orange identifier. It confirms the inducer draft motor is producing adequate negative pressure before the control board allows ignition. A failed switch, or a blocked vent/condensate line, prevents the furnace from lighting and often produces a pressure-switch fault code.
The -0.60" WC set point and NO configuration are matched to this furnace's inducer and vent design. A generic switch with a different set point will either fail to prove draft (no ignition) or close prematurely (bypassing a real safety check). The orange OEM part guarantees the correct actuation pressure.
Easy to Moderate — one or two screws, a hose connection, and two terminals, about 20 minutes. Power and gas off first. Before condemning the switch, inspect the hose, inducer, vent, and condensate trap for blockage, which mimic switch failure.
