The Goodman 10123529 is a genuine OEM manual-reset high-limit safety switch for the AMVC81005CNBD 80% AFUE two-stage variable-speed furnace and related AMVC8 / GMVC8 models. This switch continuously monitors heat-exchanger temperature and cuts power to the gas valve if the furnace overheats — typically caused by a dirty filter, blocked vent, or failed blower. Because it is a manual-reset device, it locks out and requires a button press to restore operation, alerting the homeowner that an underlying airflow problem needs attention.
