The Goodman 0130M00075 is an OEM low-pressure (loss-of-charge) safety switch for the suction/low side of WPH4360AMAB packaged units. It shuts the compressor down when suction pressure drops too low — the classic symptom of a refrigerant leak, a stuck metering device, or a frozen indoor coil. By stopping the compressor before it runs starved of refrigerant and oil, this small switch prevents overheating and expensive compressor damage.
The genuine switch carries Goodman's calibrated open/close setpoints so it protects the compressor without nuisance-tripping in low-ambient or startup conditions. Generic low-pressure switches often use approximate setpoints that either trip during normal cold-weather operation or allow the compressor to run dangerously low on charge. For a safety control, matched calibration is worth far more than the small price difference.
Moderate — typically a Schrader-mounted switch with two control wires. Depressurize or use a valve-core tool as needed, then reconnect the terminals to the correct leads. Confirm the system holds charge before returning to service. Roughly 30–45 minutes; always cut power first.
