The B1370724 is a genuine OEM ignition control module for the Goodman GUI100-2 gas furnace. This board is the brain of the ignition sequence: it energizes the igniter, opens the gas valve, monitors the flame-sense signal, and locks out the burner if flame is not proven — protecting against unburned gas buildup. Symptoms of a failed module include no ignition, short cycling, intermittent no-heat calls, or a furnace that clicks but never lights.
Ignition modules are tightly matched to the furnace's timing, flame-rectification thresholds, and connector pinout. The OEM B1370724 drops in with the factory wiring harness and preserves the certified ignition sequence. Universal aftermarket controls exist but often require adapter harnesses and re-jumpering, introducing wiring errors on a component that controls live gas. For this repair we strongly recommend OEM.
Moderate. Photograph the wiring first, disconnect power, transfer connectors one at a time to the new board, and confirm a clean ignition cycle on startup. Plan 30–45 minutes. If comfortable with low-voltage furnace wiring this is DIY-friendly; otherwise use a licensed technician.
