The Goodman 0130F00010S flame sensor is the flame-rectification probe that confirms a flame is present after ignition on ACES800403ANAA gas furnaces. The control board reads the microamp signal from this rod; when it weakens from oxidation or cracks in the porcelain insulator, the furnace lights and then shuts down within seconds — the classic short-cycle / flame-loss lockout. Replacing the sensor is the single most common cure for that fault.
This OEM Goodman sensor uses the correct rod length, bracket angle, and terminal so the flame signal lands in spec on the first try. Generic sensors often sit too close or too far from the burner, producing weak microamps and intermittent lockouts. OEM is the reliable choice for a clean flame signal.
Easy. Shut off power and gas, remove one mounting screw, unplug the spade connector, and install the new sensor. Most homeowners complete this in under 10 minutes. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers and do not sand a new sensor.
