The Goodman 4810006S Flue Collector Box is a genuine OEM combustion component for Goodman GMNTE100-4 gas furnaces. Mounted at the outlet of the heat exchanger, the collector box gathers flue gases from each heat-exchanger cell and channels them to the inducer and vent, maintaining proper draft and containing combustion byproducts.
Collector boxes are exposed to acidic condensate and high-temperature flue gas, making them prone to corrosion, cracking, and gasket failure. A compromised box can leak combustion gases, trip the pressure switch, or cause the inducer to draw incorrectly — all safety-critical faults. Replacing it with the exact OEM assembly restores a sealed, properly drafted venting path.
