The Goodman 0130F00010S is a factory-original flame sensor (flame rod) for the GMH950904CXAG high-efficiency gas furnace. The flame sensor uses flame rectification to prove the burner has actually lit; if it can't detect the microamp signal, the control board shuts off the gas valve within seconds as a safety measure. A dirty, oxidized, or cracked flame rod is the single most common cause of a furnace that lights then shuts off after a few seconds and repeatedly short-cycles.
The genuine Goodman 0130F00010S has the correct rod length, bend, and insulator so it sits precisely in the flame envelope and delivers a strong, stable signal to the GMH95 board. Generic sensors that sit too high or low read a weak signal and reproduce the same short-cycling you were trying to fix. OEM geometry means a clean signal and a reliable repair.
Difficulty: Easy (1/5). Cut power to the furnace, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor wire, and install the new rod in the same position. Route the wire clear of the burner. On restart, confirm the burner lights and stays lit through the full cycle. Typical time: 10–15 minutes — one of the most satisfying DIY furnace fixes.
