The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for ADSS800403AXAC gas furnaces and related Goodman/Amana 80% AFUE models. The sensor sits in the burner flame and passes a tiny microamp current that proves flame presence to the control board. When the rod becomes oxidized or cracked, the board can't confirm flame and shuts the gas valve — the classic cause of a furnace that lights briefly then short-cycles or drops into lockout.
OEM vs. Generic: The OEM Goodman rod has the correct length, bend, ceramic insulator, and terminal to seat properly in the flame and read a stable microamp signal. Generic sensors often sit at the wrong flame depth, producing weak or erratic readings and repeat lockouts. For a reliable, no-callback fix, use the OEM part.
Install difficulty: Easy (⭐⭐☆☆☆). Shut off power, remove one mounting screw, unplug the wire, install the new rod, and reconnect. Takes about 10 minutes. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers and verify a flame-signal reading of roughly 1–5 µA after startup.
