The 0130F00010S is the genuine OEM flame sensor (flame-rectification rod) for the Goodman/Amana ACVM970803BNAA modulating gas furnace. After ignition, the control board uses this rod to confirm flame presence via micro-amp rectification current; if it can't sense flame within the trial-for-ignition window, the board closes the gas valve and locks out for safety. A dirty, corroded, or cracked flame sensor is the single most common cause of a furnace that lights briefly and then shuts off (short-cycling).
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, alloy, and insulator rating so it reads a stable flame signal and sits in the proper flame envelope. Generic rods often have the wrong rod geometry, producing weak or noisy micro-amp readings that trigger intermittent lockouts. Given the low cost, genuine OEM is the safe choice.
Easy (1/5). One screw and one spade connector — about 10 minutes. Shut off power first. Tip: if the old sensor is just dirty, light sanding with fine emery cloth often restores it, but rods that are pitted or cracked should be replaced.
