The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification sensor for the WGFM295090V5CAA 95% AFUE gas furnace. Once the burners light, this rod detects the microamp current generated by the flame and signals the control board to keep the gas valve open. A dirty, corroded, or failed flame sensor is the leading cause of furnace short-cycling — the burners light for a few seconds, then shut off, repeating until the board locks out. If your furnace ignites then quickly drops out, replace this sensor.
OEM vs. Generic: The 0130F00010S is shaped and positioned to sit correctly in your burner flame path and delivers the microamp signal the control board expects. Universal sensors often need bending or adapter brackets to reach the flame, producing unreliable readings and repeat lockouts. OEM ensures a clean, correct signal.
Install Difficulty: Easy (DIY-friendly). Replacement takes about 15 minutes: shut off power and gas, remove the burner panel, unscrew the single mounting screw, disconnect the wire, and install the new sensor. Avoid touching the rod with bare hands. If you prefer, a gentle cleaning of the old rod sometimes helps — but a new OEM sensor is the durable fix.
