The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor (flame rectification rod) for the WFM18045S3AXCB gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Positioned in the burner flame, it uses flame rectification to confirm to the control board that ignition succeeded. A weak, corroded, or dirty flame sensor is one of the most common causes of furnace short-cycling and intermittent no-heat calls — the board shuts off gas within seconds when it can't confirm a stable flame.
The genuine Goodman sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and mounting geometry so it sits precisely in the flame for a stable microamp signal. Generic sensors of the wrong length or material may read a weak flame current and trigger the same lockouts you are trying to fix. For reliable flame proving, the OEM part is the recommended choice.
Easy (1/5). Plan for about 10 minutes: cut power, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the wire, and install the new sensor. Avoid touching the metal rod with bare fingers. If short-cycling persists, a technician can measure flame current (microamps) to confirm the fix.
Always shut off electrical power and gas before servicing.
