The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is the genuine OEM flame-rectification rod used to confirm burner ignition on GMPV100-5 gas furnaces. The control board reads the microamp signal generated by this rod through the flame; when the signal drops—usually from oxidation or carbon buildup—the furnace short cycles, locks out, or fails to stay lit. Replacing a worn sensor is one of the most common and effective fixes for intermittent no-heat calls.
The OEM Goodman sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and insulator rating so the flame signal matches the control board's threshold. Generic rods can produce weak or unstable microamp readings, causing nuisance lockouts even when the burner is lit. Genuine parts eliminate guesswork on flame-proving faults.
Rated Easy. Cut power, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the spade connector, and install the replacement. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers. A 10–15 minute job for most technicians and handy homeowners.
