The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification sensor for the Goodman GMPE125-5 furnace and compatible models. If your furnace lights and then shuts off after a few seconds, or locks out after several ignition attempts, a dirty or failed flame sensor is the most common culprit. This factory replacement restores reliable flame detection so the burners stay lit.
The OEM Goodman sensor matches the original rod length, mount angle, and terminal so it seats in the burner flame path exactly as designed — critical for a stable microamp signal. A generic sensor with a shorter rod or different bend may sit outside the flame and produce weak signal, causing the same lockouts you are trying to fix. For a reliability part, OEM is the smart buy.
Easy — usually 10-15 minutes and one of the simplest furnace repairs. Turn off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the spade terminal, and swap in the new sensor. Reconnect and restore power. A nut driver is the only tool needed. Tip: a new sensor should not need cleaning, but avoid touching the rod with bare fingers.
Always shut off power and gas before servicing. Verify the part number against your furnace before ordering.
