The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the GMP150-5 gas furnace. The sensor confirms that a flame is present after ignition; when it becomes oxidized, cracked, or coated, the control board can no longer detect the flame and shuts the burners down — causing short cycling, flame-failure lockouts, and no-heat complaints. Replacing a worn sensor is one of the most common and cost-effective furnace repairs.
This genuine Goodman OEM sensor matches the original rod length, mounting bracket, and terminal, ensuring proper micro-amp signal to the control board. Universal sensors frequently require bending and adapter terminals, and inconsistent flame-current readings can leave the furnace tripping intermittently. The OEM part drops in and reads correctly the first time.
Easy (1 of 5). Kill power to the furnace, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor wire, install the new sensor, and reconnect. A 10-minute repair for a technician. Tip: a healthy sensor typically reads 2–6 micro-amps of flame current.
