The Goodman 0130F00010S is the OEM flame sensor (flame rectification rod) for the GMP050-3 gas furnace. It confirms the burner has lit by passing a micro-amp rectified current through the flame; when that signal drops, the control board shuts the gas valve for safety. A dirty, oxidized, or cracked sensor is one of the most common furnace faults, producing burners that light then shut off after a few seconds and repeated short-cycling or lockouts.
Genuine Goodman sensors use the correct rod length, ceramic insulator, and mounting bracket so the tip sits properly in the flame envelope for a strong, stable micro-amp signal. Generic sensors with the wrong rod position or insulator can read weak flame and trigger false lockouts. OEM restores dependable flame sensing.
Easy — 15–30 minutes and a great DIY repair. Turn off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor wire, and install the replacement in the same orientation. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers. Restart and confirm the burner stays lit.
