The 0130F00010S flame sensor is the OEM flame-rectification rod for Goodman and Amana GMN080-4 gas furnaces. It sits in the burner flame and sends a tiny microamp signal back to the control board to prove the flame is lit. When the rod is coated, cracked, or corroded that signal drops, and the board shuts the gas valve within seconds — the classic symptom is a furnace that lights, runs briefly, then short-cycles.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod alloy and length so it sits fully in the flame and returns a strong, stable microamp reading. Generic sensors sometimes read low from day one, leaving little margin before the next nuisance lockout. Given the low cost, OEM is worth it.
Easy — about 10–15 minutes. Shut off gas and power, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the wire, and install the new sensor. Do not sand a new sensor. Always shut off gas and electrical power before servicing.
