The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is the genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the GMN060-3 gas furnace. The flame sensor sits in the burner flame and confirms ignition to the control board; if it fails to detect flame, the board shuts the gas valve within seconds as a safety measure. A dirty, cracked, or worn sensor is the single most common cause of short-cycling and repeated no-heat lockouts — the furnace lights, runs briefly, then shuts off. Installing a fresh OEM sensor restores a strong, stable microamp signal and reliable heating.
Universal aftermarket flame sensors exist, but rod length, bend angle, and mounting bracket often differ, which can place the tip in the wrong part of the flame and cause weak signal readings. The genuine 0130F00010S is dimensionally exact for the GMN060-3, giving the strongest, most consistent flame signal. We recommend OEM for guaranteed positioning and longevity.
One of the simplest furnace repairs. Turn off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the wire, and swap in the new sensor. Budget 10–15 minutes with basic tools. A great DIY-friendly fix for short-cycling furnaces.
