The Goodman 0130F00010S flame sensor confirms that the burners have ignited on the GME950403BXAB 96% AFUE two-stage gas furnace. It generates a small microamp flame-rectification signal the control board uses to keep the gas valve open. As the sensor oxidizes over time, that signal weakens — the classic symptom is a furnace that lights, runs a few seconds, then shuts off and short-cycles. Replacing this OEM flame sensor is one of the most common cures for intermittent no-heat calls.
Aftermarket flame rods often use inferior alloys or an insulator that cracks under repeated thermal cycling, producing an unstable flame signal and repeat failures. This genuine Goodman OEM sensor delivers the correct rod length, mounting bracket, and reliable rectification current for a lasting fix.
Easy (1/5). Shut off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor lead, install the new sensor, and reconnect. A five-minute repair with a nut driver. Tip: on the old part, light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with fine abrasive, but a weak or pitted sensor should simply be replaced.
