The Goodman 0130F00010S is a flame sensor (flame rod) for the GDH80403ANBD 80% AFUE gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Mounted in the burner flame path, the sensor uses flame rectification to prove that the burner has actually lit. If the control board doesn't detect a microamp signal within a few seconds of ignition, it closes the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty, cracked, or worn flame sensor is the single most common cause of furnace short-cycling and intermittent no-heat calls — the furnace lights, then shuts down seconds later.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, insulator, and bracket so it sits precisely in the flame envelope for a strong, stable signal. Generic universal sensors often need bending or adapting and can produce a weak flame-sense reading. For reliable ignition, OEM is the better value.
Easy (2/5). One mounting screw and a single push-on wire. Shut off gas and power, swap the sensor, and — as a tip — lightly polish a reused rod with fine emery cloth. Verify a stable flame-sense microamp reading if you have a meter.
