The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification sensor for the Goodman GDH80403ANBA and compatible Goodman/Amana gas furnaces. The sensor rod confirms to the control board that a flame is present after ignition; when it becomes coated, corroded, or cracked, the furnace lights and then shuts down within seconds — the classic short-cycling / no-heat symptom. Installing a clean OEM sensor restores a strong, stable microamp flame signal and reliable heating.
The genuine Goodman OEM sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and ceramic insulator to deliver a flame-current reading the control board expects (typically a few microamps). Generic rods can produce a weak or unstable signal that trips lockout even when the flame is fine. For a component your furnace checks on every cycle, OEM reliability is worth the small premium.
Easy (1/5). One mounting screw and a single push-on wire. Cut power at the breaker, remove the old rod, and seat the new sensor so the tip sits in the flame path. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers. Total time is usually under ten minutes.
