The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod that confirms the burner has lit. If the control board doesn't sense flame within a few seconds of ignition, it closes the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty, corroded, or failed flame sensor is the single most common cause of furnace short cycling and ignition lockout. This sensor is a direct-fit part for the AMVC960804CNAA modulating variable-speed 96% AFUE gas furnace.
Flame sensors rely on a precise micro-amp signal (typically 1–6 µA) back to the control board. The genuine 0130F00010S is built to the correct rod length, alloy, and insulator rating so the board reads a stable flame signal. Cheap generic rods often produce a weak or noisy signal that triggers false lockouts. OEM is the reliable fix.
Easy (2/5). Remove the burner-compartment door, unplug the single wire, remove one mounting screw, and swap in the new sensor. Turn off gas and power first. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers.
Fitment note: Verify sensor rod shape and mounting location against your existing part.
