The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the AMVC950905DXAE and compatible Goodman/Amana furnaces. It confirms to the control board that the burner has ignited by carrying a small microamp flame-sense current. A dirty, corroded, or failed sensor is the single most common cause of furnaces that light briefly then shut down — the classic short-cycle-and-lockout symptom during heating season.
OEM sensors use the correct rod length, mounting bracket, and terminal so the flame envelope fully contacts the rod and produces a stable signal. Generic rods often mis-position in the flame, yielding weak or erratic microamps and repeat lockouts. Given the low price, genuine OEM is the smart choice.
Easy (2/5). Remove one mounting screw, unplug the wire lead, install the new sensor, and reconnect. A technician may verify the flame-sense current with a meter (typically 2–6 µA). Shut off power and gas before servicing.
