The 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor engineered for the Goodman/Amana AMVC950905DXAD two-stage, variable-speed gas furnace. This rod-style flame sensor generates the micro-amp rectification signal your furnace's ignition control board uses to confirm a stable burner flame. When the sensor becomes coated in oxide or silica buildup, the control board can no longer verify flame and will lock the furnace out on a failed-ignition fault — the most common cause of a furnace that lights briefly then shuts down.
This is a factory-authorized OEM component built to Goodman's exact flame-current tolerance, ensuring a strong, stable signal on the first ignition cycle. Generic aftermarket sensors are lower cost but frequently produce weaker micro-amp readings, leading to intermittent lockouts on cold mornings when the furnace works hardest. For a mission-critical safety part, OEM is the recommended choice.
Difficulty: Easy (1/5). Shut off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unclip the wire, and swap in the new sensor — typically a 10-minute job with a nut driver. Always test flame current after installation.
