The genuine Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a factory OEM flame-rectification rod for the Goodman/Amana AMVC80604BXBC gas furnace. The flame sensor confirms to the control board that a flame is actually present after ignition; if it fails to detect flame, the board shuts off gas as a safety measure. A dirty, cracked, or worn flame sensor is one of the most common causes of a furnace that lights briefly then shuts down — the classic "ignites and short cycles" complaint. Installing a fresh OEM sensor restores reliable flame proving and steady heat.
This genuine OEM Goodman sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and insulator position so the microamp signal the board reads stays within spec. Aftermarket rods can sit at the wrong flame position and produce weak or erratic signals, causing intermittent lockouts. For a dependable fix, OEM is the recommended choice.
Easy (1 of 5). Usually 10–15 minutes: shut off power, unplug the sensor lead, remove one screw, and install the new rod. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers, and have a technician confirm the flame-sense microamp reading after installation.
