The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor engineered for the AMVC800803BNAA gas furnace and other compatible Goodman and Amana models. This flame-rectification rod confirms to the control board that a flame is present after ignition; if it doesn't detect flame within a few seconds, the board closes the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty, cracked, or worn flame sensor is the single most common cause of furnaces that light briefly then shut off (flame-failure lockout).
The OEM Goodman sensor uses the correct rod length, bracket geometry, and terminal so it seats at the proper depth in the flame — critical for a stable microamp signal. Generic sensors may position the rod incorrectly, producing weak or intermittent flame signal and repeat lockouts. For a reliable ignition fix, the OEM part is the dependable choice.
Easy. Turn off power, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor wire, and install the replacement. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers. Most homeowners can complete this in minutes; the furnace should prove flame and run normally afterward.
