The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the AMSS921005CNAA gas furnace. This sensor confirms that a flame is present after ignition by conducting a small microamp current through the flame back to the control board. If the board no longer detects that signal, it shuts off the gas valve as a safety measure — which is why a dirty or failed flame sensor is one of the most common causes of a furnace that lights briefly and then shuts down (short cycling).
This genuine OEM sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and ceramic insulator position for proper flame immersion on your burner assembly. Generic sensors may mount but sit at the wrong depth in the flame, producing a weak or unstable signal and continued lockouts. For dependable ignition, the OEM part is the reliable choice.
Easy (1/5). A single mounting screw and one push-on wire connector. Power off before servicing. A new sensor should be handled by the base only — oils from bare fingers can foul the rod. Light cleaning of the burner box and gently seating the sensor completes most jobs in minutes.
