The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine flame sensor (flame rectification rod) for the Amana/Goodman AMS80903BNAA gas furnace. The flame sensor confirms the burners have lit by detecting the microamp current the flame conducts; if it reads no flame, the control board shuts off the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty or failed flame sensor is the single most common cause of a furnace that lights briefly then shuts down — the classic short-cycle / no-heat lockout.
The OEM Goodman 0130F00010S uses factory-grade rod material and the correct bracket geometry for a reliable microamp signal and long service life. Our generic equivalent is a direct-fit replacement at a lower cost — a great value for routine no-heat repairs. Both mount in the same position with the same terminal.
Easy (1/5). Shut off power, remove one mounting screw, disconnect the single spade terminal, and swap in the new sensor. About 10 minutes with a nut driver. Tip: light cleaning of the old rod with fine emery cloth often restores function, but replacement is the permanent fix.
