The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor for the Amana/Goodman AMH950905CXAB furnace. The flame sensor uses flame rectification to prove the burner has actually lit; the control board reads the resulting micro-amp current and keeps the gas valve open only while a valid flame is detected. A dirty, corroded, or failed flame rod is the single most common cause of a furnace that ignites and then shuts down after a few seconds — the classic short-cycle and lockout.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, mounting bracket, and terminal so it lands in the flame envelope exactly where the control expects, producing a stable, in-spec flame current. Universal sensors may sit at the wrong depth or angle, giving weak or erratic signal that causes intermittent lockouts. For reliable ignition proving, OEM fit matters.
Easy (DIY-friendly). Turn off power and gas, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the sensor wire, install the new sensor, and reconnect. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers. Restore power and confirm the burners light and stay lit. Typical time: 10–15 minutes.
