The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification sensor for the AMH80803BNBA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. The flame sensor confirms to the control board that the burners have actually lit; when its microamp signal drops — usually from oxide buildup on the rod — the board closes the gas valve as a safety measure. A weak or dirty sensor is the single most common cause of furnace short-cycling (igniting then shutting off after a few seconds) and lockouts.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, alloy, and mounting-bracket angle so it sits properly in the burner flame for a stable signal. Generic sensors often have slightly different geometry, producing a marginal flame current that leads to intermittent nuisance lockouts. OEM restores a reliable, in-spec microamp reading.
Easy (⚙️ 1.5/5) — One of the simplest furnace repairs: kill power, remove one screw and the sensor wire, install the new sensor, and reconnect. Note: replacing (rather than just cleaning) is the permanent fix when the rod is pitted.
