The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is the genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the AMH80603ANBA 60,000 BTU, 80% AFUE gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. The sensor confirms a flame is present after ignition by conducting a small microamp current through the flame; if the control board sees no signal, it closes the gas valve for safety. A dirty or failed sensor is the single most common cause of furnace short cycling and no-heat lockouts.
The OEM rod uses the correct alloy and rod geometry to deliver a stable flame-current signal. Generic sensors often read a weaker or noisier microamp value, causing intermittent lockouts even when clean. For a reliable flame signal, the genuine part is the safe choice.
Rating: Easy (1/5). One screw and one wire. Shut off power and gas, remove the burner-compartment door, swap the rod, and reconnect. Tip: gently clean the rod with fine emery cloth before replacing — sometimes that alone restores operation.
