The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor (flame rod) for the Amana/Goodman AMH80603ANAA gas furnace. After ignition, the control board uses this rod to confirm a flame is present through microamp flame rectification; if it can't sense flame, the board shuts the gas valve for safety. A dirty, oxidized, or cracked flame sensor is the classic cause of a furnace that lights briefly then shuts off — the hallmark short-cycle no-heat complaint. This factory sensor drops into the original mounting location with the correct rod length and terminal.
The OEM Goodman sensor uses the correct rod alloy and length so it sits properly in the flame and produces a reliable microamp signal. Universal sensors sometimes read low, causing intermittent lockouts. OEM gives the most dependable long-term signal.
Difficulty: Easy. Cut power, remove one screw and the wire, and swap in the new sensor. Avoid touching the rod tip. A quick DIY-friendly repair; verify a steady flame after restart.
