The 0130F00010S is the OEM flame sensor for the Amana/Goodman AMES801005CXAA gas furnace. On a hot-surface-ignition system, the flame sensor proves that the burners actually lit. It generates a tiny microamp rectified current through the flame; if the control board doesn't read that signal within the trial-for-ignition window, it closes the gas valve and locks out. A dirty, cracked, or worn flame rod is the single most common cause of furnace short-cycling and intermittent no-heat calls.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, bracket geometry, and alloy so it sits precisely in the burner flame and delivers a strong, stable signal to the board. Generic sensors may mount but sit out of the flame envelope, producing weak microamps and repeat lockouts. OEM is recommended for reliable long-term flame detection.
Difficulty: Easy (15–20 minutes). A single mounting screw and one push-on wire. Kill power and gas first. If the old rod was only fouled, replacing it with this new OEM sensor restores full flame current — verify a reading above roughly 1.5 µA after install.
