The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM replacement rod for the Amana/Goodman AMEH961005DXAA 96% AFUE multi-speed gas furnace. The flame sensor confirms the burner has lit during each heating cycle; when the rod oxidizes or cracks, the control board loses its flame signal and shuts the furnace down — producing intermittent no-heat calls, short-cycling, and repeated ignition lockouts. Replacing this low-cost part is the single most common fix for a furnace that lights briefly then shuts off.
Our OEM version is the exact factory rod, guaranteeing correct rod length, insulator standoff, and micro-amp signal strength your control board expects. The generic version is a quality-matched aftermarket sensor built to the same fitment and electrical spec at a lower price — an excellent value for out-of-warranty repairs. Both are new, not refurbished.
Rated Easy (DIY-friendly, ~15 minutes). Shut off power at the furnace switch, remove the single mounting screw, unplug the spade connector, and install the new sensor. Tip: never sand a new sensor — install it clean and dry. Always confirm gas and power are off before servicing. If replacement does not restore a steady flame signal, inspect the control board and burner ground.
